Hello, I'm Erica, and I create novel experiences with engineering and empathy.I take an empathetic approach to solving technical problems, and I am passionate about translating imaginative ideas into reality. 

Recently, I completed my Masters of Engineering degree at Massachusetts Institute of Technology, studying computer science, electrical engineering, and human-computer interaction. During my time there, I focused my work on exploring how we can use machine learning to enable creativity, and how we can use computation to create natural to use and effective user interfaces. Lately, my interests have centered around generative models, sketch recognition, computer vision, and image processing.

When I am not working with technology, I am a freelance makeup artist and beauty photographer. I pay extra attention to detail and creativity when curating my creative vision on set. My process consists of understanding the mood of the imagery requested by the client, and bringing their vision to life through styling, sculpting light, and post-processing. 

Beyond my technical work, I am passionate about mental health advocacy and educational outreach to inspire young women to pursue careers in technology.
